Nintendo – Los Angeles, CA

Nintendo DSi Launch.  Open to the public at Universal Studio’s City Walk, the launch of the much anticipated Nintendo DSi captivated consumers and media alike.  At the center of the plaza was the i-ball – a 26’ diameter sphere resting 22’ in the air and acting as a 360 degree projection surface for i-mag, viewing media content, commercials, and VJ Fader’s marketing graphics.  DJ Basek was below, spinning his mix of electronic and gaming music for the three hour launch event culminating in a choreographed “midnight moment” and fireworks display.  Added entertainment was provided by a special concert from Gym Class Heroes and Tempest Free Runners.  Further marketing messaging was punctuated by i-towers – 10’ tall video towers capped by 6’ branded airstars – all set to resemble the trademarked “i” in the new DSi logo.
