Tom Bercu – Principal
Tom Bercu has been producing events since 1995 throughout the United States. He began working as a freelance production assistant with various high profile production companies in the Los Angeles area, and producing large scale charity events in San Francisco and Miami. In 2000, he left his position as a Business Development Director for a dot com and founded Tom Bercu Presents—specializing in large-scale events and fundraisers, thus allowing him to focus all of his time and energy in the events business. His attention to detail, creative thoughts, and passion for events has led him to work on such events as the Fire and Ice Ball, numerous movie premieres, the Global Launch of Hong Kong's 2004 Tourism Campaign, and multiple Fortune 500 companies events. Greg Christy – Technical Director
Greg Christy is a 1984 graduate of the California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatrical Lighting Design, and a Minor in Sound Design techniques, and is founder and owner of Brite Ideas, Inc.
In 1987, Greg garnered, the first of many accolades from Special Events magazine, as the Gala Award winner of “Most Imaginative Use of Lighting.” His innovative design for illumination of 70,000 square feet of tented party space, hosting the Inaugural Opening of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, landed him in the forefront of the Southern California special events market place.
Greg has achieved an unsurpassed reputation in this field, as the creator of dynamic solutions for corporate meeting planners, theatrical performance producers, and live television broadcast coordinators, on an international scale. Event Solutions magazine recognized Greg in ‘03 and ‘04 for lighting design, stage design, and technical direction endeavors. In 2005, SRO magazine, named him one of the TOP 50 Technical Directors in the US. High praise continued with the nomination for the Technical Director of the Year, and the 2006 award for Technical Supplier of the Year from Event Solutions Magazine, as well as, the prestigious VISION & VISIONARIES award for his career achievements in business, and his philanthropic endeavors to the community from California State University, Fullerton. Coming full circle, in 2007 Greg received his third Special Events Magazine Gala award for the opening of the concert hall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Once again, Greg broke new ground by illuminating the tent strictly with video content delivered through several types of LED fixtures.
Greg’s lighting design credits are all encompassing including: Republican National Convention, Media Press appearances for Bush, Reagan, and Dole, NFL Super Bowls for over ten years, broadcast lighting for the dedication ceremony of the Nixon Presidential Library, and the televised State Funeral; numerous charitable events including: Fire & Ice Ball, Hollywood Alzheimer Benefit, Louis Vitton’s United Cancer Fund. Movie / Theatre premiers: Mama Mia, Rent, Aida, Austin Powers, Lord of the Rings. Corporate Events: Grand Opening of the Venetian Resort - Las Vegas, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, WAMU, Kawasaki.
Internationally, he has successfully coordinated technical productions for Option One and ING Corporation in Canada; Thermo King in Cabo San Lucas; ASTA in Glasgow, Scotland; American Express in Cancun; Jumex in Mexico City, and Media Asia in Cannes, France. Personally served as TD for name acts: Maroon 5, Goo Goo Dolls, Black Eyed Peas, Santana, Jay Leno, Bill Cosby, Michael Bolton, Bonnie Rait, Tony Bennett, Don Henley, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Kenny Loggins and Sir Elton John. |

Jennifer McGarigle - Designer
Jennifer grew up in Bodega Bay, California surrounded by wildflowers and wilderness. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, she briefly worked in the fashion industry before establishing Floral Art in 1993.
She quickly gained recognition for her exquisite designs and innovative sensibility. Inspired by architecture, fashion and interior design, Jennifer has developed a distinctive style – fashion forward, sexy and immediately recognizable. While her work continually evolves, her approach remains consistent. She works with each client individually, helping them translate their personal style or vision into flowers and event décor.
In 2004, Jennifer opened the Floral Art boutique, which offers an eclectic selection of gifts and home accessories. Since then, she has expanded into event décor and consulting with luxury brands.
Floral Art has been written up in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, W, InStyle, InStyle Weddings, Angelino, Harper’s Bazaar, Lucky, Daily Candy, Martha Stewart Living, and Real Simple. Jennifer’s work has been featured in design books including “Flowers With A Flair”, “Extreme Entertaining Made Simple”, “The Swarovski Crystal Bridal Book” and “Real Weddings”.
Jennifer has appeared on various television programs including "The Perfect Party”, "HGTV" and has designed parties and tabletop décor for the "Oprah Winfrey Show". |

Rohit Fernandez - Environmental Designer
Rohit is an accomplished and sought-after designer for corporate, entertainment, and promotional events. He holds degrees in Architecture from the University of Bombay, India and Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. He has worked in India and Italy on architectural and interior design projects ranging from the conception to completion on high profile residences, vacation homes, hotels and offices.
Rohit Fernandez founded StudioRFD, Inc in 2004 as a design, fabrication firm that at present is housed in a 15000 sq ft office/warehouse space. This includes a welding and carpentry space. In his free time, these resources are used to create one of kind pieces of furniture and architectural elements. StudioRFD’s credits include major corporate events; award shows stage design, environmental design for major motion picture release premiere events and various other smaller scale events.
StudioRFD’s recent projects include designing and fabrication of the Academy Awards Governor’s ball, the Lexus Pre-Oscar party, the house of Blues Visa Grammy event series, the Openings of BCAM at the LACMA, the Mark Taper Forum, Exhibits for Matthew Rolston and various other projects. Other major events designed by StudioRFD include:
